I am not part of the medical community, however, I am interested in knowing if there is any recent studies on IPL long term effects? It appears that all the papers I read are 3 or more years old.

A few months ago I had my first IPL treatment and was very happy with the result, and am now considering continuing the treatment to remove my remaining facial pigments.

Your unbiased guidance would be much appreciated.

Not a doctor here, so can't comment from that perspective. But, I can comment from corresponding for over 3 years with people harmed by IPL, including systemic problems, facial fat loss, textural changes and other skin problems induced by IPL and other cosmetic device treatments.
